even more Christmas goodness!
Ok, so if I'm not feeling Christmasy enough, I think this should do the trick. I was over at Bad Girls and saw this. Starting November 14th until the 23rd, Bad Girls will be having it's 2nd Christmas workshop! I joined the classes last year and had a blast and Wendy, the head Bad Girl, said this year it's gonna be badder than ever! There's gonna be challenges, games, a whole lotta fun, and the best part 22 FREE classes! Yup, you read that! The classes are FREE! So, what are you waiting for? Head on over to Bad Girls and join in on the fun! I know I can't wait to get started on some holiday goodies. Hope to see you all there! Aaah, the sweet feeling of Christmas! :)

winner, new TDX, & feeling Christmasy!
Sorry, this is super late but I finally got around to drawing a winner for my RAK. Well, not exactly draw a winner, since I used a random number generator. The number that came up was 19. So comment 19 and the winner of my blog is: Congrats Sarah! Please send me an email at mia92578@yahoo.com with your addy and I'll get the RAK out to you.
On to some scrappy goodness now. This page was done for this week's TDX and the prompt was to create a layout about a choice you have made in the past, something that your response has always been "I'd do it again." Used a picture I found online and the Scarlet Lime Oct Project kit. Here's my take:
Title: No regrets!
Journaling: In 2001, I made a decision that would change my life, the biggest decision I have ever made. I came home to the Philippines without finishing my college degree. Many have questioned why I did it but I know I did the right thing. I would have never had the life experiences that I have had since then. I wouldn't have met the people who are some of my closest friends. I wouldn't have spent the last year of my Dad's life with him. I know that I eventually would like to get my degree, but if you ask me whether I would change my decision, I wouldn't. I have no regrets.

Don't forget to post your a link to your creation by Sunday night over at the TDX blog. Would love to see what you all come up with for this challenge.
The postman was also good to me today! I got my October Label Tulip kit and an order I placed with A Million Little Things! Ah, new scrappy goodness in the mail! What could be better? Once I get over rolling in my new stuff, I'll probably try and crank out a page or two.
On a final note, it's really beginning to feel more like Christmas. First, our tree is starting to go up (yes, we start early here in the Philippines), Starbucks finally has their holiday drinks and red cups, A Million Memories is having a 4 week contest called Flippin' for the Holidays, which I may say includes an amazing prize package, you can check out the details here: http://www.amillionmemories.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=21613. Hope you can join us over there, I've got my thinking cap on for the first challenge. I'm also trying to make a December Daily album a la Ali E., on top of all the holiday items I' like to make for family and friends. I need to get cracking on those. Did I mention that Christmas is my absolute favorite time of year?

crazy & kooky
Here's my page for the TDX challenge this week. We were supposed to scrap about what makes you laugh everyday and I decided to do a page about our 2 year old Welsh Corgi, Margaux. Her crazy antics just bring laughter into our lives everyday. Dunno what we'd do without her. Used the Studio Calico October kit & add-ons for this.
Title: Our Crazy & Kooky Girl!
Journaling:
Margaux, 2 years ago you came into our lives & have since filled it w/ craziness & laughter. There is not a day that we don't find something about you that makes us laugh. You're just being your crazy & kooky self. -11/2008

I finally have a pic of the RAK that's up for grabs. Sorry it's late but here it is:
Remember you have until Thursday night to leave a comment in this thread to get a chance to win this: http://miamcscrappy.blogspot.com/2008/11/new-month-new-look.html
Tonight, I also went out with my friend Nita to go see this, which opened today here in the Philippines:
OMG! It was a total drool fest! I love Daniel Craig as James Bond! The man knows how to work a suit & a tux! The story line was pretty good too! If you get a chance definitely go see it!

new month, new look
For anyone who has tried to stop by the blog in the past 2 weeks, you may have noticed it was down. That's because I was totally unhappy with the look and decided it was time to update things on my long neglected blog. Went for a totally new look that I'm really digging! Hopefully, the new look will motivate me to keep up with the blog.
On the scrappy side of things, I joined Bad Girls Top Designer contest about a month ago. Didn't win but I reached farther than I ever thought I would. Last year I had dropped out during the first class, due to other things going on in my life, so this year I promised myself I would stick it out. Stick it out I did! I reached up to Class 6 which for me was a surprise.
Still can't believe it's already November! How time flies! Though that means Christmas is near and that happens to be my favorite time of the year! I'm already feeling in the Christmas spirit! To get me more into the Christmas spirit, I'm taking Lisa Pace's class The 12 Days of Christmas to give me more ideas for gifts for my friends. I just love Lisa's style, and the fact that she loves glitter & all things sparkly so this was right up my alley! Can't wait to get started on these projects!
Finished up a page yesterday of Nita's daughter, Sam. Her birthday is today, Sunday, so this is my birthday gift for her. She got to see it on Halloween since I met up with the girls to do a little scrap shopping at Mitch's store, Visual Creations. Yummy stuff that she just got in! But apart from the scrap shopping the best part was seeing Sam's reaction to the Halloween Krispy Kreme donuts that I brought for her. She picked up the colorful green one, Mr. Ogre, but she thinks he's a frog, as did all the other girls. LOL!

Well, since I'm feeling in the Christmas spirit and in honor of my blog being back up and running. Leave a comment on this post about what you think of my blog's new look and I'll draw a winner next Friday for a RAK of goodies. Will post a pic of the RAK goodies by Monday.

Took a break
Ok so I took a break from things to deal with life. Things just have gotten a little overwhelming at the moment that I just need to step away. Haven't scrapped in a bit and I'm leaving you with a page I did about a month ago. TFL!

Journaling: At night when everything is dark and my eyes are closed, I can see ever so clearly. I know what I must do. Dreams to set aside to pursue other things. Things just seem to be so clear when I close my eyes. I know now that I need to give up some things to move on. As much as it pains me to do so, I know to accomplish other things I must do this. It is now so clear to me what I need to do and what I need to let go of to move on.
Hugs all! Until next time!
